When we got to salt lake city, utah i didn’t know I was going to like it so much. It is a big city like Dallas, tx and at the same time is surrounded by mountains, with many sunny days, i know I know I dont like cold weather but it seems that I can handle it with an eskimal jacket, high boots, gloves, scarf, hat, and many layers of clothes piece of cake.
I realized that the city is for the Mormons what the Vatican  is for catholics. Their first temple is there next to a church, a convention center and other buildings and most of them huge. I read the book under the banner of heaven from jon krakauer, a good writer i really like. It talks about the not so nice part of the religion but it has history about it as well and is an interesting book. I went to watched ther chorus practice, a big chorus.
Mark had an aquantice running the wasatch 100 miler race which is the hardest 100 mile race in U.S. We decided to stop by mile marker 60 to cheer people on and possibly pace the guy throughout the night if he needed it but he ended up having to drop out. We saw another friend we meet at the race caballo blanco organizes in chihuahua Mexico, he ended up finishing within the first 11 people WOW!!!  I really admire everyone at that race, when I ran my 50 I realized how it feels and is Certainly not easy at all  physically but also mentally.
I believe that you had to experienced the actual race to know what goes on.
