We visited another sculpture that is still in construction. A chief of an indian tribe meet with one of the sculptors that participated in Mount Rushmore to ask him to create a sculpture of one of their chiefs called crazy horse. He accepted but took it upon himself. He started about 50 years ago by himself without any funding besides his own. He had 10 children and when he died the wife and children felt they had to keep working on it.
Today the face is the only part that is finished. The size of the four faces of mount rushmore together fit in the face of Crazy Horse. Imagine the magnitude of this sculpture. It is not being built by the Nation is being built by private donations.
While we were at the site where Crazy horse is being build they detonated part of it. It was cool! That is how 90% of Mount Rushmore was built using explosives and that is how Crazy horse is being build as well.

Visitamos otra escultura que está en construcción. Un chef de una tribu india le pidió a uno de los escultores que trabajo en Mount Rushmore que realizara una escultura de uno de sus chefs llamado Caballo Loco. El acepto y tomo la tarea como propia. El empezó solo hace como 50 años sin fondos aparte de los propios. Tuvo 10 hijos y cuando murió la esposa y los hijos sintieron que era su misión también y que tenían que seguir trabajando en la escultura.
Hasta ahora solo la cara esta terminada. Las cuatro caras de los presidentes juntas son del tamaño de la cara de Caballo Loco solamente. Imaginense la magnitud de esta escultura y no ha sido construida por la nacion ha sido construida con donationes solamente.
Mientras estaba en el sitio donde se encuentra la escultura en construcción detonaron una parte de esta misma. Estuvo bien padre! El 90% de Mount Rushmore fue creado a base de explosiones y de esta manera también esta siendo esculpido el Caballo Loco.
